Chief Olabode George, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has launched a strong rebuke against Nyesom Wike, urging him to focus on the fundamental issues plaguing every Nigerian rather than what George perceives as ungrateful and shortsighted comments. Drawing on William Shakespeare's Macbeth, George invoked the poignant lines, "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more," imploring Wike to reflect on the fleeting nature of life and political power.

George emphasized that Wike's recent pronouncements were not only a display of ingratitude but also lacked foresight. The elder statesman underscored Wike's ascent within the PDP, reminding him of the party's unwavering support throughout his career, including his impactful tenure as the governor of Rivers State. "You are now saying that it is the individual that has the capacity but my young man, look, if you see any ballot box did you see the names of any individuals written on the ballot papers?" George challenged, questioning Wike's apparent shift towards individual capacity over party structure.

He further clarified that he personally lacks the authority to expel Wike from the PDP, stressing the party's democratic foundation. "Our party is not like APC, owned by an individual. Our party was established with rules and regulations. There's no individual who owns this party (PDP)," George asserted, drawing a clear distinction between the PDP's organizational principles and those of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
