In a significant blow against insurgency, the Nigerian Army's Operation Hadin Kai troops have successfully neutralized at least sixty terrorists during a combined land and air assault in Bita, Borno State, in the early hours of Friday. The Army Headquarters confirmed the decisive operation through a statement on its Facebook page, highlighting the coordinated effort that led to the substantial elimination of militants. This recent success follows closely on the heels of other military victories in the North-East this week, including an earlier engagement in New Marte, Borno State, where dozens of Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists were killed. Regrettably, two soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice during the New Marte encounter. The ongoing efforts by the Nigerian military continue to target and dismantle terrorist strongholds, aiming to restore peace and security to the region.
