Brigadier-General Chima Ekeator, the leader of the Army team wey dey go Anambra to tell people about the ongoing Nigerian Army recruitment, don talk say he dey worry because small small South-East youths dey come out for the work. When he dey talk to youth leaders and community oga dem, Ekeator say na only about 200 people from South-East don register so far. He say this number small well well compare to other regions where over 4,000 people don sign up.
According to Vanguard news, he say e dey important for South-East young people to know about this recruitment and join. Ekeator say if small people register from the region, e fit cause make South-East no get enough people for army, and dem fit lose the chance wey dem give them for recruitment. He tell the youth leaders and community oga dem say make dem go back to their places and tell the young people wey fit join army to do so.
Ekeator explain say if plenty youths from the region join army, e no go just make sure say South-East get enough people for army, but e go also give the young people good chance to serve their country, grow as person, and get long-time work for inside army.
The Anambra State Government support the talk-talk event. Governor Chukwuma Soludo, wey the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Aghambah, represent, say government dey ready to help make youths for the state interested in the recruitment. He tell traditional rulers and community leaders say make dem work together to encourage at least 10 young people wey fit join from each community to register and apply.
Governor Soludo say the recruitment na chance for South-East youths to do their own part for the country and help Nigeria get peace and security. He promise say the state government go continue to support and tell people about the recruitment to make sure plenty people from Anambra and the whole South-East join.
The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr. Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, also talk say dem want youths wey their age dey between 18 and 22 for the recruitment. He tell all the young people wey fit join for that age to use the chance to serve their country through the Army.
The aim of the talk-talk campaign na to make sure say all regions get enough people for army and to make South-East youths join army more.
